Overview

ROL is a ceiling light designed for those who want warm, discreet lighting without the hassle of complicated installations. Its compact format makes it useful in many spaces: bedroom, kitchen, hallway, or any room where direct ceiling light is needed without the fixture drawing too much attention.

The lamp emits COB LED light at 2700K, a temperature that feels warm and pleasant. It is not a cold or intense work light, but the kind of illumination that makes a space feel calm. For the bedroom or dining room, that nuance makes a difference.

The modern matte white design adapts easily to contemporary interiors. It neither stands out nor clashes: it simply fits. That is what makes this type of light useful in spaces where style matters but you do not want to overcrowd the ceiling.

The ROL lamp is part of FARO's surface-mounted interior luminaire catalogue, a brand with experience in lighting that develops home-use products with a focus on design and functionality.

Installation and specifications

No special tools are needed to install this ceiling lamp. It is fixed directly onto the ceiling surface using the included anchors. Before starting, make sure the power is switched off at the electrical panel. Check that the ceiling wiring is compatible with the 220V-240V voltage. The lamp comes with the COB LED light source already installed, so no additional components need to be purchased before assembly.

Once installed, it requires no frequent maintenance. To clean the surface, simply use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected, and avoid installing it in areas with high humidity, as this ceiling light is intended for indoor use.

Design and use

The ROL ceiling light has a body built from aluminium and ABS with a matte white finish. The aluminium provides solidity to the assembly and helps dissipate the heat generated by the LED during operation. The ABS, in turn, keeps the weight low: just 0.5 kg, which makes both transport and installation easier. For the ceiling, that detail matters.

The lamp uses COB LED technology, which concentrates several diodes in a small space and generates uniform light. It produces no visible flickering or differentiated light spots. The 2700K temperature places the tone in the warm range, similar to traditional incandescent light but with the consumption and durability of a modern LED. With a maximum power of 15W, it is sufficient to properly illuminate medium-sized spaces without impacting the electricity bill.

The ceiling light format, fixed directly to the ceiling, is a practical solution for rooms with low ceilings. Unlike a pendant lamp, it does not reduce the visual space of the room and does not interfere with movement. This makes it particularly suitable for bedrooms with low ceilings, small kitchens, hallways, or secondary rooms where functional lighting with a modern profile is needed.

In the dining room, the ROL ceiling light can work well if the space does not require high-impact lighting. The warm 2700K tone creates a relaxed atmosphere that complements meals without generating overly intense light. In the kitchen, it provides the lighting needed for everyday tasks without the lamp taking up visual space.

Matte white is one of the most versatile finishes in home lighting. It blends with white ceilings without creating contrast, and in interiors with neutral tones it goes completely unnoticed. For those who follow a modern or Nordic style in their décor, this type of ceiling light fits effortlessly. It also works in more classic or eclectic spaces, because it does not impose any specific aesthetic.

It is not an outdoor lamp, but within the home it has a wide range of use. It can be placed in single bedrooms, double bedrooms, home work areas, hallways, or transitional spaces. It is also useful in small indoor premises where modern lights with a discreet design are needed.

The ROL ceiling light does not require an additional installation bar or special support structures. It anchors directly to the ceiling with the included fixing points. This simplifies the process for those who want to resolve their lighting without calling a professional installer, although it is always advisable to have basic electrical knowledge or the help of someone who does.

Questions and answers

Is the COB LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The ROL lamp includes the COB LED light source as standard. No additional components need to be purchased for it to work from the very first moment.

Is the 2700K colour temperature suitable for a bedroom?

Yes. 2700K corresponds to a warm tone that is pleasant in rest spaces. In bedrooms and rooms with relaxed use, this range is one of the most common precisely for that reason.

Can this ceiling light be installed on a ceiling bar or track?

No. The ROL ceiling light is designed to be fixed directly onto the ceiling surface, not onto a bar or track system. Its mounting makes direct contact with the ceiling.
