Overview

ROL is a compact ceiling flush mount in a matte black finish, designed for those who want warm lighting without the lamp drawing too much attention. It works well in everyday spaces: a kitchen, a hallway, a bedroom, or even a dining room where soft, concentrated light is preferred. Its reduced size makes it especially useful in low ceilings or corners where a larger lamp would be excessive.

The COB LED light source is included and offers a color temperature of 2700K, meaning a warm tone that makes spaces look cozy. There is no need to purchase anything additional to install it and start using it from day one.

FARO is a manufacturer specializing in interior and exterior luminaires, with a consolidated track record in designing functional lighting for the home. Their products combine durable materials with a modern design, adapted to contemporary interiors.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the flush mount, make sure the electrical circuit is cut off from the main switch. This lamp is fixed directly to the ceiling using the included anchoring system. Being a surface-mounted luminaire, it does not require a recessed box or false ceiling. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if you have no prior experience with electrical connections.

To keep the flush mount in good condition, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or those containing solvents, as they can damage the matte black finish of the body. Do not handle the lamp with the power on, and do not expose the unit to direct humidity, as this model is designed for indoor use.

Design and use

The ROL flush mount has a body made of aluminium combined with ABS, two materials that complement each other well: the aluminium provides solidity and dissipates the heat generated by the LED, while the ABS keeps the total weight below 400 grams. It is a lightweight lamp, but with a construction that conveys stability when installed on the ceiling.

The matte black finish is not just an aesthetic choice. This type of surface absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which helps the illumination emitted by the COB LED to be perceived in a more concentrated and directed way. For spaces where warm light is desired without annoying reflections on the walls or ceiling, this design is particularly appropriate.

In a kitchen, the ROL can be installed above the work area to provide direct, shadow-free light. It also works well above a kitchen counter or a dining bar, where focused light is needed in a specific area. The 2700K temperature gives a soft golden tone, less intense than cool light, which makes food and surfaces look more natural.

In a bedroom or in rooms with low ceilings, this flush mount comfortably replaces a pendant lamp that could feel intrusive. By sitting flush against the ceiling, it takes up no visual space and leaves the room feeling more open. The warm light it generates promotes a restful atmosphere without being too dim for reading or moving around the room.

In a small dining room, the ROL can work as secondary lighting alongside other lights, or as the main light source if the space does not require high power. Its modern design does not compete with the furniture or other decorative elements. It is simply there, fulfilling its function.

The minimalist style of the ROL makes it compatible with interiors featuring clean lines: concrete or dark wood floors, black or grey lacquered furniture, walls in neutral tones. In a modern design home environment, this type of lamp goes unnoticed during the day and defines the atmosphere at night. It can also be combined with other modern lights in the same finish to create coordinated lighting across different areas of the home.

For those looking for contemporary-style flush mounts with warm light and a low profile, the ROL is a straightforward option. It includes no superfluous elements: no ornaments, no large shades, no visible cables. Just the ceiling, the lamp, and the light it produces. In spaces where visual order matters, that level of simplicity has concrete value. This modern lighting model responds well to the needs of those renovating interiors in search of a clean result, with a modern aesthetic free of excesses.

Questions and answers

Does the ROL flush mount need an additional light source, or does it come with the LED included?

The 9W COB LED light source is included with the product. There is no need to purchase any bulb separately. The flush mount is ready to install and switch on directly.

Is the 2700K color temperature suitable for a bedroom or for a kitchen used daily?

2700K corresponds to warm light, similar to that produced by a traditional incandescent bulb. It is a temperature that works well both in bedrooms, where it promotes rest, and in a kitchen or bar area, where it creates a cozy atmosphere without being too intense.

Does the aluminium body of the ROL help dissipate the heat generated by the LED?

Yes. Aluminium conducts heat efficiently, which helps the LED operate at a stable temperature and maintain its performance over time. The ABS complements the structure without adding significant weight to the assembly.
