Overview

MIZU is a ceiling lamp designed to be installed directly on the ceiling. Its matte black finish and clean shape make it compatible with interiors that seek a defined style without elements that draw too much attention. It works well in spaces where warm light is needed without sacrificing a modern design.

This lamp works well in the kitchen, dining room, bedroom or any hallway. It takes up no visual space, creates no strange shadows and distributes light evenly thanks to the prismatic diffuser. The 2700K tone provides warm lighting, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, but with much lower energy consumption.

FARO is a brand with a track record in the home lighting sector. Its products combine carefully selected materials with a modern design that adapts to different types of interiors.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, make sure the electrical circuit is disconnected. The fixture mounts directly to the ceiling, with no recessed box required. Verify that the mounting surface is solid and can support the weight of the unit. The connection requires a voltage of 220V-240V, compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and Europe. If you have any doubts about the wiring, consult an electrician.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or those containing solvents, as they can damage the matte black aluminium finish. Do not handle the lamp while it is on or in the hours immediately after switching it off, as the housing may be hot. The prismatic diffuser can be gently cleaned to maintain its transparency without scratching it.

Design and use

MIZU is a ceiling lamp with an aluminium body in a matte black finish. Aluminium is a lightweight and durable material that does not oxidise easily and retains its colour well over time. The matte black finish prevents reflections and gives the lamp a sober appearance, without any distracting shine.

The prismatic diffuser distributes light evenly throughout the room. Unlike opaque diffusers, the prismatic finish works with refraction and allows light to spread more broadly, without creating defined shadow zones. For spaces such as the kitchen or dining room, this makes a practical difference: the work surface or table is illuminated without the need to add more lights.

The colour temperature of 2700K produces warm light. It is the type of lighting that conveys a sense of calm, suitable for a bedroom at night or for the living room during rest hours. It is not cold office lighting, but rather light that complements everyday moments at home.

The lamp is fixed directly to the ceiling without the need for any additional structure. This makes it a good option for low ceilings, where a pendant lamp or a bulky ceiling light would reduce the visual height. In apartments with standard ceilings, this mounting solution keeps the space uncluttered.

In terms of modern design, MIZU works well alongside furniture with straight lines, industrial materials such as metal or dark wood, and walls in neutral tones. In a dining room with black or grey chairs, the lamp integrates effortlessly. In bedrooms with a headboard upholstered in dark colours it also fits in without creating a forced contrast.

It is suitable both above the counter of an open-plan kitchen and in the hallway of an apartment. At the counter, a single unit can be placed if the space is small, or several ceiling lamps can be combined in a row if more intense lighting is desired. In smaller bedrooms, a single central light point may be sufficient to comfortably illuminate the space.

The matte black finish also has a practical effect: it does not show fingerprints easily and does not require constant visual maintenance. Modern lights with this type of finish have become common in contemporary interiors precisely because they age well and do not lose their presence over time.

MIZU is a lamp that does not need to justify itself with decorative details. Its clean shape, its well-resolved material and the quality of the light it produces are enough for it to work in many different contexts. It is not a lamp designed to be the centre of attention, but rather to do its job well and fit naturally into the space.

Questions and answers

Does the MIZU lamp include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is included. You do not need to purchase any additional bulb to install and use the lamp.

Does the prismatic diffuser of the MIZU affect the direction of the light or does it distribute it evenly?

The prismatic diffuser works by refracting light to distribute it evenly in all directions. It does not concentrate the beam at a specific point, which prevents defined shadows and covers the entire room well.

Is the MIZU lamp suitable for outdoor installation?

No. MIZU is designed for indoor use. It is not prepared for outdoor conditions such as humidity, rain or extreme temperature variations.
