Overview

The AMELIA lamp is a ceiling flush mount designed for interior spaces where soft, uniform lighting is desired. Its rounded shape and organic lines make it a good fit in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and dining rooms without drawing too much attention. It doesn't dominate the space — it simply becomes part of it.

The opaline glass diffuser distributes light evenly, without bright spots or dark areas. This makes it a good option for ambient lighting in any room where time is spent and visual comfort is desired without effort.

FARO is a Spanish manufacturer with years of experience in home lighting and interior design. The AMELIA lamp was designed by Héctor Serrano, and combines aesthetics and functionality within a compact, easy-to-install format.

Installation and specifications

To install this ceiling flush mount, a junction box or electrical supply point is required at the mounting location. The lamp is mounted directly onto the ceiling surface, with no additional structure needed. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended. Before connecting any wiring, make sure to cut the power supply at the main panel. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately — verify that it does not exceed the maximum rated power of 15 W.

To clean the steel body in matte white finish, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the paint. The opaline glass diffuser can be cleaned with a dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water. Do not use the lamp with bulbs exceeding the maximum permitted wattage. This luminaire is designed exclusively for indoor use.

Design and use

The AMELIA flush mount features a modern design with soft lines and a low profile. Its body is made of steel with a matte white finish, giving it a clean and discreet appearance. The diffuser is made of opaline glass with a rounded shape, which increases the light-emitting surface and prevents direct glare. The result is a diffused, warm, and pleasant light that spreads evenly throughout the room.

With a diameter of 215 mm and a height of 225 mm, this lamp has a compact size that does not take up unnecessary visual space. It is a good choice for low ceilings or rooms where the luminaire is not meant to be the center of attention. The modern, neutral design of the AMELIA allows it to coexist effortlessly with furniture and finishes of different styles: light wood, concrete, white, grey, or natural tones.

In the bedroom it creates a calm atmosphere without harsh contrasts, ideal for reading or resting. In children's bedrooms it also works well because it does not generate intense light spots. In the kitchen, installed above the work area or in the center of the ceiling, it provides practical lighting without feeling cold. In the dining room it provides sufficient ambient light for everyday meals, though it can be supplemented with additional lights if greater intensity is needed.

The AMELIA's style fits in modern interiors as well as apartments with simpler décor where visual order is sought. The organic shapes of the diffuser contrast softly with flat surfaces such as smooth walls or straight-lined furniture. It is not a lamp that imposes its own character — rather, it adapts to the space and completes it.

The internal connection bar and steel structure ensure a solid attachment to the ceiling. Although the finish is discreet, the construction is firm and durable. There are no hanging cables or moving parts — once installed, the flush mount sits clean and stable.

For those renovating an interior and looking for modern lights that do not require complicated decisions, the AMELIA is a straightforward option. Compatible with standard E27 LED bulbs, it allows the type of light to be adjusted according to preference — warmer or more neutral, depending on the atmosphere desired in each space.

Questions and answers

Does the opaline glass diffuser prevent glare with any type of E27 bulb?

The opaline diffuser is designed to scatter light and reduce direct glare. For best results, it is recommended to use LED bulbs with a power output no greater than 15 W, which is the maximum permitted by this lamp.

Can the AMELIA flush mount be installed in a kitchen with some ambient humidity?

This flush mount is designed for standard indoor use. In kitchens with moderate humidity it can be installed without issue, but it is not suitable for areas with direct exposure to steam or water splashes.

Does the matte white steel body tend to yellow over time or from the heat of the bulb?

The matte white finish on steel is resistant to the heat generated by a low-wattage LED bulb. With normal use and by respecting the maximum power of 15 W, the finish maintains its color without visible changes.
