TOTEM 285 is an outdoor bollard designed to mark pathways, illuminate transit areas and add visual presence to gardens, patios and entrances. Installation and specifications

For installation, an outdoor power outlet or an underground conduit reaching the point where the bollard will be placed is required. As this is a floor-mounted luminaire connected to the mains at 220V-240V, it is recommended that the wiring and final connection be carried out by an electrician. Before installing, check that the surface is stable and flat so that the lamp sits firmly and straight.

The cement finish does not require special cleaning products. A damp cloth is sufficient to remove accumulated dust or dirt. Avoid solvents or abrasive products that may damage the surface. As this is an outdoor lamp, periodically check that the connections are in good condition, especially after periods of heavy rain or frost.

Design and use

The TOTEM 285 bollard is made of cement, a material that performs well outdoors due to its durability and the neutral appearance it provides. It does not compete visually with its surroundings, but rather integrates into them. The grey colour of the body pairs well with stone, concrete or gravel paving, as well as with gardens where natural tones predominate. It is a lamp that does not draw excessive attention during the day, but at night fulfils its function clearly.

The bidirectional light effect means the lamp emits upward and downward at the same time. This allows the nearby ground to be illuminated for safe navigation without tripping and, at the same time, creates a point of light visible from a certain distance. In a garden path, for example, several bollards placed at regular intervals guide the route in an orderly manner without the need for spotlights or higher-powered lights. The result is both functional and decorative.

The colour temperature of 2700K corresponds to warm light. It is not the cold light of an office nor the intense light of a security spotlight. It is lighting that is visually relaxing, making the exterior of the home look welcoming when night falls. On a terrace or at the main entrance, that warm tone considerably changes the perception of the space compared to cooler or bluer light options.

At 285 mm in height, the bollard is a contained size. It does not dominate the space, but it is visible. Combined with the taller version of the same TOTEM collection, configurations with different light levels can be created that add more depth to the garden or patio. This ability to mix heights means it is not just a standalone lamp, but an element that can be used as part of a broader scheme.

The LED SMD light source is already included, with a power of 6.5 W. There is no need to find a compatible bulb or worry about the fitting type. The lamp arrives ready to connect. The LED consumes little energy and provides stable illumination without flickering.

Does the TOTEM 285 bollard withstand rain and outdoor humidity?

Yes. It has an IP55 rating, which means it is protected against dust and against water projected from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use exposed to rain.

Is the LED lamp included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The LED SMD light source is already included in the luminaire. No additional bulb needs to be purchased in order to use it.

Can the bollard be installed without the help of an electrician?

The bollard connects to the mains at 220V-240V via wiring. If there is no outdoor power outlet already installed at the desired point, it is recommended that an electrician carries out the connection to ensure safe installation.
