Overview

The FARO RUSH 800 beacon is an outdoor lamp designed to be installed directly in the ground. Its height of 800 mm makes it visible from a distance without being intrusive, and it fits well in both private gardens and parks or common areas. If you are looking for a solution to illuminate a path, mark out a green area, or add visual presence to an outdoor space, this beacon covers that need in a straightforward way.

The housing combines aluminium and polycarbonate, two materials that hold up well in outdoor conditions. The IP65 protection means the lamp is not affected by rain or dust, and the IK10 resistance indicates that it withstands impacts without losing integrity. These are characteristics that matter when the product will be exposed to the elements for years. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm light that is not harsh, and the 360-degree illumination option allows the lantern to illuminate uniformly in all directions.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Its outdoor products are designed to work in real conditions, not just to look good in a catalogue.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the beacon, check that the anchor point in the ground is stable and that the wiring is properly protected. The connection must be made with the power off. If you do not have experience with outdoor electrical installations, it is advisable to have it installed by an electrician. The CASAMBI model allows the lamp to be integrated into a smart control system, making it easy to manage from an application.

For maintenance, clean the surface of the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser can accumulate dirt over time, especially in areas with strong wind or nearby vegetation. Periodic cleaning is sufficient to maintain luminous performance.

Design and use

The RUSH 800 collection is designed for outdoor spaces that need technical lighting without losing visual coherence. The lamp has a clean, vertical profile, with a square base of 160 mm and a height that makes it functional as a garden lantern or as a signalling element along pedestrian routes. The dark grey finish integrates well with stone, concrete, or treated wood paving, and does not visually compete with vegetation or other lights in the surroundings.

The aluminium body provides rigidity and resistance without adding unnecessary weight. It is a material that does not rust, which is relevant in areas with frequent rain or near the sea. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser lets light through without distorting it, and the 360-degree emission option ensures there are no uncovered areas around the beacon. This is useful when several units are installed along a path, because the distribution of light is continuous and without gaps.

The integrated COB LED light source operates at 3000K, a temperature that produces warm tones similar to those of incandescent light. This type of lighting favours the perception of space in a nocturnal outdoor setting, because it does not flatten volumes or make natural colours appear cold or artificial. In a garden with plants, shrubs, or wooden elements, that warm tone helps the overall composition look balanced.

Compatibility with the CASAMBI system makes this lamp a dimmable and smart option. From an application, it is possible to adjust the intensity or schedule automatic switching on and off. This makes sense in installations where you want to control consumption or adapt the lighting to different situations, such as a dinner on a terrace or simply moving through the garden at night.

Regarding installation, as this is an outdoor ground beacon, it is common to place it in series with other units of the same model. The RUSH 800 collection is designed to be used this way, creating lines of lights that guide the visual and physical route through the space. It can also be used in isolation as a reference point or as a decorative element next to an entrance or outdoor staircase.

The motion sensor is not included in this version, but CASAMBI compatibility allows automations to be configured from the control system. For those looking for a rechargeable lamp or one with an integrated sensor, this model is not that option. It is designed for fixed installation with a mains electrical connection, which guarantees continuous operation without relying on batteries or solar charging conditions.

The lantern fits well in projects where coherence between garden materials and lighting elements is sought. Its square geometry and neutral finish allow it to be combined with other products in the range or with wall luminaires of the same finish. The result is a tidy outdoor space, where the light fulfils its function without drawing more attention than necessary.

Questions and answers

What does it mean that the beacon has IP65 protection?

IP65 indicates that the lamp is completely protected against dust and that it withstands water jets from any direction. It is adequate protection for outdoor use in normal conditions, including rain.

Does the 360º option affect energy consumption compared to other versions in the collection?

The 360-degree emission refers to the distribution of light, not to higher consumption. The maximum power is 20W regardless of the emission angle.

What is CASAMBI and what does it allow you to do with this lamp?

CASAMBI is a wireless control system that allows lighting to be managed from an application. With this lamp, it allows you to adjust the intensity and schedule switching on without the need to install an additional switch.
