Design and use

The CUCA 1193 belongs to a line designed by Faro Lab with a clearly scenographic approach. When talking about a decorative outdoor beacon, one often thinks of a classic lantern or a conventional light column. This lamp proposes something different: a steel curve that emerges from the ground and draws the eye upward, to an opal glass sphere that emits soft, uniform light at 2700 K, a warm temperature that adds warmth without being excessively yellow.

The main material is stainless steel with a black finish. Outdoors, this type of finish behaves in an interesting way: during the day, the structure is visible but discreet, with a slender profile that does not compete with the vegetation or the surrounding architecture. At nightfall, the dark arch blends into the background and only the small ball of light remains visible. It is this effect that turns this lamp into something more than a functional element — it is a visual resource.

The light source is a COB LED, included with the lamp. With only 3 W of power, consumption is very low for the visual result it delivers. The supply is 24 V DC, which means working with a low-voltage installation, generally easier to manage in gardens and landscaped areas where some flexibility in cable routing is required.

This beacon is installed in the ground and is designed especially for gardens, pedestrian access routes, path edges, residential entrances, patios with a contemporary design, or transit areas where the route is to be marked elegantly. Can the CUCA 1193 beacon be connected directly to the domestic 230 V mains supply?

No. This lamp operates at 24 V DC, so it requires an external power supply that converts the mains voltage to 24 V DC. This supply is not included with the product and must be purchased separately. It is recommended to consult an electrician to correctly size the installation.

Can the opal glass diffuser break easily if there are accidental impacts in the garden?

The diffuser is made of glass, so it is not unbreakable under direct impacts. Its elevated position at the end of the arch places it out of the usual reach of footsteps or knocks, but this should be kept in mind if the area is heavily used or there are children playing nearby.

Is it possible to combine the 1193 mm version with the shorter height version within the same installation?

Yes, that is precisely one of the possibilities offered by this collection. Mixing both heights allows compositions to be created where points of light appear at different levels, generating a more dynamic and deep visual effect in the outdoor space.
