Overview

The AGRA 650 beacon by FARO is an outdoor lamp designed to mark pathways, border entrances, and provide a warm point of light in gardens and outdoor spaces. It installs directly into the ground and works as a visual guide without requiring additional elements: the light exits through all four sides of the unit, creating a uniform and visually pleasing effect from any angle.

The body is made of dark grey aluminium with a transparent glass diffuser. This combination allows the lighting to appear clean and undistorted, while the lamp holds up well against outdoor conditions. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm light, similar to that of an electric candle, which fits well in natural settings such as a garden or patio.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in lighting. Their products combine solid technical criteria with careful design, built to last and remain in good condition over time.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This beacon is fixed directly into the ground, so it is advisable to plan the cable routing in advance before installing it. The installation point must be level so that the lamp stands completely vertical. If the ground is soil or gravel, it is recommended to prepare a small concrete base or use an anchor suitable for the type of surface. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional, especially in outdoor installations where wiring requires protection against moisture.

Use and maintenance. To clean the aluminium surface, a damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish should not be used. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. It is advisable to periodically check the fixing points to ensure they remain properly tightened, especially if there are significant temperature changes between seasons.

Design and use

The AGRA 650 has an elongated and compact silhouette, with a square cross-section of 108 x 108 mm and a height of 650 mm. These proportions make it visible without being bulky. In a garden with vegetation, it integrates well among shrubs or along a path without visually competing with the natural elements of the surroundings.

The aluminium from which the body is made is both a resistant and lightweight material. It withstands prolonged outdoor exposure without warping or losing its finish easily. The dark grey colour gives it a sober appearance that pairs well with light-coloured paving, stone flooring, or treated wood. It does not draw excessive attention during the day, but at night the beacon fulfils its function clearly.

The transparent glass diffuser allows light to pass through without filtering or blurring it excessively. This makes the illumination direct and defined, which is especially useful for marking pathways with precision. The light exits through all four sides of the unit, which prevents shadow zones around the lamp and provides visual continuity when several beacons are installed in a row.

The integrated COB LED light source operates at 9W and offers a colour temperature of 3000K. This warm tone is perceived as welcoming and is not harsh in rest areas or nighttime transit zones. Unlike cooler lights, 3000K creates an atmosphere that invites you to linger, not just to pass through.

The compatible voltage range of 100V to 240V means this lamp works without adapters in different electrical contexts, simplifying installation in construction projects or renovations where the electrical system may vary.

As for possible uses, the AGRA 650 fits well as a marker light in private entrances, garden path borders, entrances to single-family homes, or landscaped areas of residential communities. It can also be used on raised terraces where the goal is to visually define a route or mark the boundaries of an area without installing a fence. Its modern and well-proportioned design makes it compatible with contemporary-style gardens, though it also works in more traditional settings thanks to the neutrality of its colour.

When combined with other outdoor lights from the same collection or with similar finishes, the result is a coherent and orderly lighting scheme. Several beacons installed at regular intervals along a path create a clean visual effect that enhances both the safety and aesthetics of the space after nightfall.

Questions and answers

Does the AGRA 650 beacon include the light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 9W COB LED light source is included. No additional components are needed for the lamp to work from the very first moment.

Is the 3000K colour temperature suitable for a garden with rest areas?

Yes. 3000K corresponds to a warm light that creates a pleasant atmosphere and is not glaring. It is a common choice for outdoor spaces where visual comfort as well as functional lighting is desired.

Does the aluminium body require any special treatment to hold up well outdoors?

No. Aluminium is a material that tolerates outdoor exposure well without additional treatments. The dark grey finish maintains its appearance with occasional cleaning using a damp cloth, with no need for specific products.
